Vulnerability alert!!! Here, I share my story of healing and forgiveness with my father. After more than 30 years of estrangement, I reached out to him and began a journey of healing. While we don’t always need to or should reach out to those who have hurt us, I began to wonder if he was suffering too, and maybe he thought it was too late to contact me. And that was the case. In healing my life I was able to listen to the whispers of love and compassion, and act upon them to bring healing for both of us.
With the help of a friend, I was able to recognize the core belief of not feeling worthy that I had been carrying with me.
I also realized that I had been using my femininity in a toxic way to manipulate men, which had left deep damaging wounds.
Through my journey of forgiveness, I was able to come back to feeling worthy and empowered. I now have nothing in my heart but unconditional love and gratitude for him.

We arrived on a new moon at the stunning retreat centre Soma, Byron Bay, for five nights of transformational magic. What I love most about leading retreat work, is seeing how quickly women can shift from a lifetime of pain back into the light that they are.
Many women arrive not knowing why they were coming, but their soul whispered ‘you must’. They listened to their inner knowing & surrendered to their highest good & said to themselves, “Okay, I am willing to give this a go.”
Some arrive with the world on their shoulders, hunched over with dark clouds of anxiety, feeling lost, carrying their pasts, or simply just needing to be realigned back into themselves, to connect deeply within their souls, to find their purpose, to reclaim their strength, to take time just for themselves & most importantly to feel connected back to life & return to joy & love.
There are only two ways of being in this world; to live through fear or to live centred in love. Our ego serves one purpose & that is to distract us with false beliefs that lead to suffering until we realise our thoughts are incorrect, & it’s through this we begin to awaken back to the essence of who we are as spiritual beings having a human experience, not humans having the odd soulful moments in life.
At some point in our life we realise the amour we carry becomes the burden, not the past itself.
To safely unpack & say goodbye with love to the walls we built to protect ourselves & to open our hearts again to life, this is a gift we can give ourselves to rejoice in.

We all have moments in life where we struggle to find any more strength. Moments when we collapse in a heap of despair, anxiety & fear.
Always, remember that your soul’s got you. She is always looking out for you, & you are not alone. Surrender, have faith, ask the divine light for strength & guidance. And pay attention to how she communicates. See the signs & take action, be brave enough to follow through with courage & conviction.
You will never get more than you can cope with in life even though that limit is often pushed to the extreme edge.
Remind yourself of how far you’ve come already. And know, that we never know how close we are to success when we quit, & that success could be just around the corner at any moment.
Your soul is always communicating the way forward, so trust her, & courageously follow through with her guidance, which is your inner knowing you may well have denied for some time. Hear her whispers, she is always there & will never abandon you. She is patiently waiting for you.
You are safe, you are loved.
